Press release from: The Byrd Law Firm

The Byrd Law Firm is issuing a public invitation for claims in relation to the dangerous drug, Boniva. The drug, which has been extremely popular in treating Paget’s Disease and Osteoporosis, has been linked to numerous dangerous side effects.

The manufacturer of Boniva failed to alert both physicians and patients of the drug’s possible side effects. Some of the more serious complications include Osteomyelitis, also known as deadjaw, and Osteonecrosis of the jaw, or ONJ. Other side effects may include loosening of the teeth, swelling of the gums, drainage, and more.

Boniva attorney Jason Byrd points out that young women face the highest risk factor. “These drugs are commonly used at an earlier age in over 36 million women due to the increased risks that come along with hormone replacement therapy.” He goes on to add that “because women use these drugs at an earlier age and for longer time spans, they are typically more likely to develop Osteonecrosis of the Jaw.”

In the last decade, there have been over 2000 cases of jaw bone decay reported in relation to a sister drug known as Fosamax, which contains many of the same chemicals as Boniva. This makes the time ripe for enlisting the services of a Boniva lawyer.

This announcement comes forth on the heels of their recent announcement that they are branching out into Oklahoma City. For additional information on hiring a Boniva lawyer, the Byrd Law Firm may be contacted at 1-888-616-2973 or at http://www.txbyrd.com.
