Free Fonts for download at fonts-free.org

The freshly launched download internet platform fonts-free.org has just launched the live site on February 11th 2011 and calls for free font submissions in all categories to participate in its 2011 free font award. The most downloaded and the best rated fonts in 2011 will be awarded by the website with a couple of rewards: They will be published in the Website's very own "Free-Fonts" Design booklet, which is going to be published in early 2012, they will receive lots of publicity through fonts-free.org and last but not least, will receive a revenue share of the money earned through ads during the competition time as a price. Every Designer is kindly asked to submit their free fonts at the Website's submission panel and to spread the word about it. The purpose of this award is to give designers a broader publicity and help them getting their artwork and their name promoted worldwide on agency level. Currently fonts-free.org provides more than 13000 free fonts for download and the numbers are constantly rising. This might not limit the chances of the individual designer to win, though, as the site has just launched and basically every participant has equal chances of winning. The earlier the Designers submit their free releases, the more chances they will actually have in winning the competition as the only judge are the website's visitors. If the winning fonts' owners don't claim their price, it will be awarded to the Creative Commons Society and to Wikipedia.org in equal shares. That way it is guaranteed that the open source society will actually be benefiting from the free fonts award, one way or the other. http://www.fonts-free.org is a non-profit service that is based on the ideas of open Source and has just started providing free fonts for download to public.

The free fonts for download repository fonts-free.org awards the best rated and mostly downloaded fonts in 2011. Founded in February 2011, the non profit download platform offers more than 13000 free fonts for download.
