Dow Jones News and 3C Conference on Climate Change Focuses on Innovative Investment and Finance Opportunities
Now in its second year, the conference - Climate Change Investment and Finance 2007 - will explore recent investment opportunity developments surrounding climate change and look at CO2 emission rights and trading. All speaker slots will be delivered in English and delegates will be drawn from the banking, finance and investment sectors.
The conference will be held at the Maritim Hotel, in Frankfurt, from March 20th to 21st, where leading experts will deliver a series of presentations and panel sessions over the two days.
To start the conference off, there will be an introductory overview of the global carbon markets aimed at both delegates and the media. The session will be presented by Benedikt von Butler, vice president of CO2e.com, a multinational company delivering solutions to help companies address climate change issues.
Further sessions include:
- Clemens Hüttner, Head of Investment Advisory at 3C Consulting GmbH, who will examine institutional investment in the emissions trading market
- Dirk Kohler, CEO of CarbonRe AG, who will focus on what carbon market participants can expect from the insurance industry and explain the new Carbon Compliance Guarantee for industry
- Martin Priebe, Manager of EU ETS, IETA, who will use the latest climate change science to build up a trajectory and examine emission tradings and managing new technology risks
- Dr Dieter Rentsch, Managing Director of Aquila Capital Concepts GmbH, who will focus on investment opportunities within the context of the Kyoto Protocol
