Scholarships and Awards for students’ research on microfinance – 1st Call 2011: Extension of application deadline to March 4th 2011

PlaNet Finance invites students planning or having completed a thesis on a microfinance-related topic to participate in the “University Meets Microfinance” (UMM) - Scholarships & Awards Programme.

UMM Scholarship Programme for field research – New application deadline: March 4th 2011

Scholarships of up to 1500 EUR are granted to allow students who conduct on-the-field research on microfinance-related topics. The scholarship programme is open for Bachelor, Master students and PhD students. Eligible are students enrolled at a European university researching on a microfinance-related topic in the frame of their thesis. The scholarships are granted to cover travel and accommodation expenses during the field research.

Application deadlines 2011:

New application deadline: 4th March 2011 (Bachelor, Master)
15 April 2011 (Bachelor, Master)
15 June 2011 (PhD)
15 October 2011 (Bachelor, Master)

UMM Awards Programme for completed Master theses - Application deadline: July 31st 2011

Master students who have completed their final thesis on a microfinance-related topic at a European university can apply for the UMM Awards. Awards will be granted to students presenting an outstanding research in the microfinance field. The winning final theses will be published. The 1st Prize will receive EUR 500 and will be invited to the International Microfinance Awards Ceremony in Paris.
