Bayshore Inn changes name and opens Waterton’s only full service spa

Waterton Lakes Park, Alberta -- “We changed our name to Bayshore Inn Resort & Spa to better reflect the renovations we’ve made to the hotel including the addition of the Serenity Spa, Waterton’s only full service spa,” says Shameer Suleman, General Manager, Bayshore Inn Resort & Spa and Waterton Glacier Suites.

“The Serenity Spa which opens in May will be staffed by five skilled specialists trained to provide treatments that relax, restore energy and promote well-being. Some of the treatments include: aromatherapy; deep tissue massage; couples massage, eminence facial treatments, berry eye treatment, waxing and a variety of manicure and pedicure services.”
Unlike its sister hotel (Bayshore Inn Resort & Spa), the Waterton Glacier Suites remains open year-round allowing guests to experience Waterton’s unique cross country skiing, snows shoeing, back country skiing, ice climbing and tobogganing. This winter, the Glacier Suites opened the Glacier Café to provide guests with in-house home cooked meals.

According to Suleman, the Waterton Glacier Suites has been doing a brisk business in snowshoe rentals. Also popular this winter is geocaching, a high-tech treasure hunting game played by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices such as smart phones.

Adds Suleman, “winter in Waterton is a special time of year whether you are an outdoor adrenalin junkie looking for that one-of-a-kind ice climbing challenge or whether you prefer to stay indoors with a great book next to a cozy fireplace or by relaxing in a hot Jacuzzi tub. Many of our guests also take the opportunity to experience and shoot (with camera) the abundant wildlife – everything from Mule deer and Big Horn sheep to massive herds of elk crossing Waterton Lake.”
