MEDIA ADVISORY For February 5, 2011: Gershow Recycling Provides Aluminum Scrap for High School Robotics Teams

What: Gershow Recycling is opening its scrap yard to local high school robotics teams who need aluminum scrap to construct their 130-pound robots that will compete in the 12th annual Long Island FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition (FRC) that will take place March 24-26 at Hofstra University.
This is the second year in a row Gershow has invited high school robotics teams to its facility. In 2010, Gershow also supported the competition by donating money to School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. (SBPLI) and the Patchogue-Medford High School robotics team.

The company produces both ferrous and non-ferrous products.
