From new product launches to latest developments and trusted innovations, highlights at Booth 7-422 will include:
Adding the WOW factor with additives:
Easy to process with less environmental impact that deliver a wide range of consumer benefits, and provide outstanding visual and touch-related effects.
• New Ceridust® wax range based on Clariant’s Metallocene Technology platform for powder coatings that increases anti-slip, improves sealant adhesion, and reduces pinholes.
• New PTFE-free structuring / texturizing agent for powder coatings with a matt surface and no-fingerprint effect.
• New Clariant polymer for the use in water-based and solvent-based coatings with unmatched matting effect.
• Well-established Exolit® non halogenated flame retardants and Hostavin® light stabilizers that protect products and have a more favorable environmental profile.
New pigment ranges to ease the way to perfect colors:
New possibilities provide simplified production together with optimum color dispersion for industrial and decorative coatings.
• The Easily Dispersible (ED) organic pigment ranges were recently expanded to cover waterborne and solvent-based decorative and industrial paints. With this the costly bead mill process can be removed from the paint production process which increases the efficiency regarding output, costs and maintenance.
• Brown right from the start - Hostaperm® Brown HFR 01- the perfect way to create brilliant brown effect shades for automotive coatings. With this pigment Clariant provides the optimum choice to reinforce and go beyond the actual color trend for brown automotive shades.
Optimizing performance and protection:
Performance-boosting paint and coating wetting and dispersing agents that take production economics and environmental impact into account across a broad range of end applications.
• New biodegradable Dispersogen® ECS for high dispersion power, high tint strengths and good compatibility for waterborne and solvent borne coatings.
• Genapol® ED3060 organic pigment-based wetting and color enhancer for waterborne paints, suitable for use at low concentrations.
• JMac innovative silver technology: highly-effective versatile biocide for use as In-Can preservative or additive for hygienic paints.
“Clariant’s latest innovations really do make it possible for the paint and coatings industry to reduce production line complexity and, in doing so, achieve a more efficient business,” comments Gerd Koenig, Head of the Coatings business at Clariant.
Danilo Seabra, Marketing Manager EMEA, Industrial and Consumer Specialties at Clariant adds: “Whether looking to gain stronger, more uniform color, responding to new aesthetic trends, or supporting product protection against fire or bacteria, we are looking forward to demonstrating to ECS 2011 visitors how we can help to make their aspirations a cost-effective and more environmentally-friendly reality.”
