Virginians will Gather for March on the Mansion Rally to Call for Resignation of Governor Northam

On February 23, 2019, a diverse coalition of Virginians will gather for a rally and a March on the Mansion. Participants from every corner of the state will speak in one unified voice calling for Governor Ralph Northam to resign. The event organizers, the Douglass Leadership Institute and The Southern Leadership Conference of Virginia believe Governor Northam has proven himself unfit to serve as the state’s top official.

What: A Rally with Guest Speakers will take place on the Capitol Steps at 1000 Bank Street Richmond, Virginia.
Immediately following the rally, participants will join the March On The Mansion from the Capitol steps to the Governor’s Mansion.

When: Saturday, February 23, 2019, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.



Why: As much of the nation and even the world knows, in the span of one week, the Governor calmly advocated for infanticide and admitted to being photographed in a racists photo while in medical school. Northam later denied that he was in the now infamous photo.

These two acts underscore Northam’s complete lack of respect for human dignity and he must resign.
