Popular Central Coast Stylist Opens Fierro Hair Salon in Laguna Village in San Luis Obispo

Fierro Hair Salon has opened in the Laguna Village Shopping Center in San Luis Obispo. The salon, owned by well-known local stylist Carlos Sosa, is celebrating its grand opening this Thursday, January 27.

Grand opening events will include an open house at the salon from 5-8pm on Thursday, followed by an after party at Palazzo Giuseppe, starting at 9pm. Wine and appetizers will be served at the open house. Two popular Southern California DJs will be spinning at the after party, with DJ Effren Villan coming from San Diego and DJ Jasepi coming from Los Angeles.

Sosa grew up on the Central Coast and has been styling hair for 14 years in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, in addition to teaching color, cut and style classes for the past 5 years. Much of his large clientele has followed him to his new salon.

Sosa says that his vision is for Fierro to be a very modern salon, from the work the stylists do to the technology used. For example, Fierro uses e-mail and text appointment confirmation. The salon uses and sells top-quality products from Bumble & Bumble and Aveda.

One goal Sosa has is to provide better long-term opportunities for stylists to have careers and not just jobs. Sosa is proud of the team at Fierro, saying “We really have a fun and up-beat staff and group of stylists. From the front desk to the back, we all bring something really unique to Fierro Hair.”
