Fish & Richardson Adds Associates, Technical Advisors in Dallas

DALLAS - The national law firm of Fish & Richardson, P.C., is pleased to announce the addition of Jane Du, Yong Eric Peng, Kaaren Shalom and Pin Wu in the firm’s Dallas office.

Ms. Du joins the Litigation Group as an Associate. She graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2009. She was a member of the John W. Davis Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition while at Washington and Lee. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from The University of Texas in 2006.

She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association.

Dr. Peng joins the Patent Group as a Technical Advisor, supporting patent prosecution in a broad range of technologies, including the wireless communications, semiconductors and software fields. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University in 2010, where he earned a Frederick E. Terman Honorable Graduate Award and a Research Day Dean’s Award. His work included six years of industry and government-sponsored wireless communication and information theory research and development.

He is a member of the technical professional association IEEE and the Leadershape Institute.

Ms. Shalom joins the Litigation Group as an Associate. She graduated, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2010. She was a member of the Order of the Coif and the SMU Law Review. She also served as Associate Editor of the 44th SMU Air Law Symposium. Prior to attending law school, she worked as executive director of interactive marketing of motion pictures for Paramount Pictures Corporation.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Dr. Wu joins the Patent Group as a Technical Advisor, supporting patent prosecution and litigation in mechanical and aerospace engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2010. He was the 2011 winner of the D.R. Harting Award from the Society for Experimental Mechanics for the best paper in Experimental Techniques journal.

He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the Society for Experimental Mechanics.
