Registration is open for the 28th Annual VTIC Conference at www.vtic.org.
The Vermont Travel Industry Conference is Vermont’s premier travel industry event drawing together over 300 professionals in one of the state’s largest industries. Visitors to Vermont spend $1.61 billion dollars annually on goods and services which directly supports 37,500 Vermont jobs (12% of all Vermont jobs). Leading industry professionals from innkeepers and attraction managers to ski resort employees and tourism media come together annually for two days of workshops, keynotes, awards, networking, industry expo, and banquet.
In addition to the “Marketing Speed Dating,” this year’s VTIC focuses on connecting the dots between customer service and new and emerging marketing efforts with special focuses on Vermont’s most viable niche markets. Keynote addresses will be made by Suzanne Cook, former Senior Vice-President of Research for the U.S. Travel Association and by Chris Diaz, Principal of New York City based Redpoint Marketing PR, and past VTIC workshop presenter. The VTIC Banquet Emcee and Live Auctioneer will be Josie Leavitt, owner of the Flying Pig Bookstore in Shelburne, VT.

About the Vermont Travel Industry Conference (VTIC)
The first Vermont Travel Industry Conference (VTIC) was held in 1983 as a half-day session to provide members of the tourism industry research and information available through the University of Vermont. Seven years later VTIC gained its non-profit status wit the mission of providing education and training to individuals involved in the Vermont tourism industry. VTIC meets its mandate through the annual VTIC Conference and by offering scholarships to Vermont college students furthering education in tourism-related fields. The Vermont Travel Industry Annual Conference draws one of the largest gatherings of tourism professionals in the state including owners, managers and employees of the many businesses connected to this important segment of the economy. The Governor’s Award for Marketing Excellence, The Vermont Travel Person of the Year Award, and The Vermont Travel Industry Scholarship are presented at the Vermont Travel Industry Conference.
