Imagine iT. The celebration of the cultural differences, SDZ and Typeradio as media partners, more speakers, new sponsors, fundamental translations in Italian - discounted pricing ends this weekend (11.02.07)Imagine iT is shaping up to its final programme. We are proud to announce that more speakers of international recognition have confirmed their participation, such as Italian designer Giancarlo Iliprandi as well as Vince Frost living and working between the UK and Australia will be contributing to the celebration of the cultural differences.
The conference, taking place at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) in Bologna, Italy from March 22 – 24, 2007, will be working with two podcast stations – for best national and international representation. SDZ – Social Design Zine, as well as Typeradio have agreed to become media partners of the event and will be broadcasting in Italian as well as English during the upcoming three days.
“And we have more news”, says Simone Wolf (Typevents) “at an international conference where there are more than 30 speakers representing more then 15 nations, it is necessary to agree on a common language. English is easiest in this case. Up on requests of delegates, the conference organizers will prepare abstracts of the lectures in Italian language, so anyone to whom three entire days in English might seem tiring, can follow by having the fundamental ideas of the lectures printed in Italian. We would like our participants to feel most comfortable, even if there is non need to worry about possible lanuage issues at an event about visual communication, where there will be much more to see than to hear.”
The organizers further are proud to announce new sponsors: Fedrigoni SpA, Grafiche Dell’Artiere as well as FontShop International (www.fontshop.com) as well as the fashion label 9.2 are strongly supporting this event.
And not to be forgotten: Discounted pricing is available only until next Sunday, 11th February 2007. Make sure to get your ticket now at a rate of 280 € (from Feb 112th 320 €) for the three-day-conference, or 250 € if you are a member of one of the many supporting organizations. Students pricing starting from € 90.
The final programme (that will now only contain minor changes) and times will be published at the end of February.
For registration and information on the current programme, with lectures and workshops as well as the full pricing scheme for delegates/students, etc. please go to the Typevents website at: http://www.typevents.com/index.php?id=133,0,0,1,0,0
