Before the PDX model, murine models or traditional cell line models were used to evaluate novel and conventional therapeutic strategies for cancer. There are many other traditional approaches for the cancer diagnosis, which are not as compatible as PDX models. The major disadvantage of using traditional approach is inaccuracy of results.
