Release of the trailer for the Yoga Video ?LAND OF THE SEEKERS?
The organization Yogi-nomad and Los Angeles based film director Brendan Turrill released today the trailer for the upcoming documentary “LAND OF THE SEEKERS.” The movie was shot in Nepal, crossroads of ancient wisdom, and follows the journey of 15 international students in search of yogic knowledge.
The camera tracks the subject of their quest and their quest. What are they really seeking? Is there something missing in the west? Can it be found in Nepal? Why is the world so worrying today? What can we do about it? Does it have something to do with the meaning of Life or the evolution of humans as a species? Is Yoga an answer? Through the days, during free time or practices, the students share with us their stories and expectations, their disillusions and laughter, but above all the joys and strength they gather along the way.
Taking place in the Himalayas, the heart of the Yoga tradition for millenniums where Buddhist and Hindu tradition meet, the movie guides us into an amazing landscape that’s a unique blend of tradition and beauty. Through the voice of the students, “LAND OF THE SEEKRS” carries the lively and vibrant message of Yoga, a message of hope from a generation in search of a better world. Surrounded by mystical places and inspired by the spirits of timeless yogis, the students share their faith in a world where they continuously strive to build a community of beings who relentlessly push to expand consciousness; a world they see full of Love, Peace and Justice.
Yogi-nomad is a newly formed organization dedicated to expanding consciousness through Yoga worldwide, and is an international network of Yoga practitioners and teachers linked by the belief that value-driven Yoga practices can overcome today’s global challenges and our collective illusion of separation. Yogi-nomad’s teachers are driven by ethical actions and cultivate mindfulness in their Yoga practice and their daily lives. They host Yoga events around the world and share resources to continuously initiate the change within, which will transform our planet and benefit all beings. Yogi-nomad conducts Yoga retreats and training in Varanasi - India, Kathmandu and the Everest region - Nepal, and workshops in Europe and the Americas, and combines Yoga with other enlightening practices like Nutrition and Thai Massage.
The Buddha said, “The greatest miracle is the miracle of teaching and transforming people.” “LAND OF THE SEEKERS” voices the message of a generation who cares to change themselves to make the world a better place, and are doing all they can to make it happen.
