Charlottetown Real Estate Broker Made Christmas Merrier for PEI Woman

(Charlottetown, PE) January 5, 2011 – Santa Claus took a break from his busy schedule on Christmas Eve to help Della Parker, broker of Coldwell Banker Parker Realty in Charlottetown, draw for the winner of a shiny 2009 BMW worth approximately $41,000.

Krista Affleck was the lucky winner of the car, which has been parked in front of the Parker Realty office at 535 North River Road for the past twelve months – the duration of the promotion.

Anyone who bought, sold, or re-listed a property with a Parker Realty agent in 2010 received a ballot in the draw. Additionally, anyone could enter the contest by writing a 500-word essay about why Parker Realty Ltd. is the best real estate agency in Prince Edward Island.

All entrants were then invited to bring their families to the office on Christmas Eve, where children would have a chance to meet Santa before he drew the winning ballot.

According to Della Parker, the promotion was a huge success. She states, “My REALTORs® and I are extremely grateful to all our loyal clients for making 2010 a banner year and this promotion allowed us to show our gratitude to them in a fun and yet meaningful way.”

Seasoned REALTOR®, Dave Corrigan definitely noticed an increase in calls thanks to the contest. He states, “I have been in real estate for 25 years and worked with Parker Realty for 22 of those years. Since we started the BMW promotion, my business has grown by 25%. It was easy, as all the client had to do was list for 6 months or purchase a home through Parker Realty to qualify for a ballot.”

Parker plans to run a similar contest in 2011. She states, “This promotion was such a great success that we’ll soon be launching another one that will run throughout 2011 with the draw taking place on New Year’s Eve. I know all Parker Realty agents will be on board again to help spread the word. Part of the reason why the promotion worked so well was that everyone came together to help spread the word. It really was a company initiative.”
