Michelle M. Smith of O.C. Tanner Receives Incentive Marketing Association’s 2010 President’s Award

January 5, 2010 - NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Michelle M. Smith, CPIM, CRP and Vice President, Business Development at O.C. Tanner, was recently singled out by the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) to receive its 2010 President's Award. A Certified Professional of Incentive Management (CPIM) and a Certified Recognition Professional (CRP), Smith was honored for her tireless work on behalf of the incentive industry particularly as an advocate for education and outreach. She is an IMA President Emeritus and past President of the Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement at Northwestern University. Smith is currently a Board Director for Recognition Professionals International as well as the Incentive Federation. She is also the Chair of the Editorial Board for Return on Performance Magazine, the definitive voice of the incentive industry for best practice strategies and research.
Commenting on Smith’s selection for the 2010 award, IMA Executive Director Karen Renk, CAE, said: “Michelle is a dynamic industry spokesperson, advocate, educator and mentor who is always willing to share her expertise and knowledge to assist her colleagues and advance the incentive industry.”
Introduced in 2003, the IMA President’s Award recognizes individuals who have actively furthered IMA’s mission by creating a greater awareness of incentives; helping incentive suppliers prosper in a changing business environment through education, training, research and marketing; and promoting high standards of professionalism in the incentive field.
