DMC Atlanta Raises $2500 in MOvember to Help Fight Cancers that Affect Men

DMC Atlanta, Inc., a leader in the direct sales industry, participated in Movember. Movember is a month-long challenge for men to grow and maintain a moustache for the entire month of November to raise awareness of and funds for cancers that affect men. DMC Atlanta had 10 men participate in the challenge and 17 team members, both men and women, raise $2000.00.

Through the partnership with LIVESTRONG, MOvmeber is funding programs targeted toward young adults and their families dealing with cancer. The second partnership with The Prostate Cancer Foundation provides funding for better research which will lead to better screening and treatment options for men. In addition to funding, MOvember has increased the general awareness of men’s health issues by prompting men to talk about, independently research and seek medical advice.

To celebrate the end of MOvember, DMC Atlanta, Inc. partnered with Tin Roof Cantina and musician Gareth Asher first the first annual “Stache Bash.” Their combined efforts allowed them to raise an additional $500.00 towards their goal totaling $2500.00.

DMC Atlanta, Inc. has participated in several charity drives but this one has been the most outrageous so far. “Our organization wants to make an impact and change the face of men’s health. Much like wearing a ribbon in support of cancer awareness, the men of DMC Atlanta will join the fight by wearing our own type of ribbon – a beautifully tacky moustache – for the month of MOvember” was the statement from DMC President Adam Dorfman as he kicked off MOvember.
