Silver Spring, Maryland—The Washington Post has awarded a contract to The Pincus Group Inc. for Crisis and Media Relations Training for this year’s Distinguished Educational Leadership Awards. The Awards are presented to 20 outstanding school principals from the Washington metropolitan region in recognition of their outstanding school leadership.

“This is a unique opportunity for public and private school principals to receive the kind of high level media training that corporations do. Knowing how to comunicate in a crisis is a vital part of any leader's skill set and of course, just as important for leading educators. We couldn't be more pleased to again be working with the Washington Post on this project ,” said Aileen Pincus, President of The Pincus Group.

The training, with coaches David Burnett and Aileen Pincus, will take place at the Ritz-Carlton Resort in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The attendees will attend a full-day tailored coaching session in crisis and media relations, designed to further develop communication skills in order to help meet any crisis or school objective. The 20 kindergarten through 12th grade school principals were selected from among their peers in the greater Washington Region for their efforts in creating exceptional educational environments for their students.
