Blended Learning Sources Releases Japanese Language Learning Software

Press release from: Blended Learning Sources

Blended Learning Sources, an innovative blended learning teaching materials developer, has recently released the Japanese Language Companion, a software application designed to complement traditional classroom instruction.

The newly-developed Japanese learning software supplements teacher instruction for students studying the language. Pairing classroom assignments guided by the teacher with self-guided e-learning, this Japanese language learning aid provides students with a true blending of tradition and technology.

Blended Learning Sources’ Japanese Language Companion covers all the essential skill sets required to master the fundamentals of the language while simultaneously paving the way for the student’s transition to more advanced linguistic concepts, and mitigating the risk of knowledge attrition.

Blended Learning Sources founder Jack Kent recognizes the value the Japanese language learning software has for today’s students. “The Japanese Language Companion represents a significant step forward by offering the opportunity for teachers of Japanese to migrate from traditional classroom methods of instruction to a blended learning environment,” he says.

According to Kent, “Students supplement traditional learning methods with a computer based learning component. The combination has produced overwhelming evidence supporting the idea that students exposed to a blended learning environment far outpace students where learning is limited to traditional methods of classroom instruction.”

Michael Cibenko, co-founder, emphasizes that practicing language skills outside of the classroom heightens students’ confidence for an enhanced learning experience.

“As a teacher of Japanese, I’ve waited a long time for a product like the Japanese Language Companion,” Cibenko reports. “It not only gives my students a comprehensive tool with which to practice their skills outside the classroom, but also provides me with a simple and effective way to monitor their ongoing progress. By practicing with the Japanese Language Companion at home or in our school library, students can come to class with greater confidence, and I have the freedom to be more flexible in the execution of my lessons. I highly recommend this revolutionary tool to all my fellow Japanese language instructors.”
