HEARTH Selected as a Participating Non-Profit Agency in the Project Beauty Share® #BeautyWishes2019™ Nationwide Campaign to Benefit Women and Children Overcoming Homelessness

Pittsburgh, PA—February 1, 2019—HEARTH is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of five non-profit agencies from across the country to compete in the second annual Project Beauty Share® campaign, with an opportunity to win a bonus cash prize of $10K!
Project Beauty Share® is a Spokane, Washington-based non-profit that provides cosmetics, beauty and personal care products to women’s agencies across the country. #BeautyWishes2019, is a nationwide 15-day campaign created to benefit women and their children who are overcoming homelessness, addiction, poverty and abuse, and the organizations who devotedly serve them. Beauty Wishes™ is a joint effort of Project Beauty Share and YouTube beauty influencer ThaTaylaa (Taylor), the creator of the #15DaysofFoundation YouTube series with a social following of more than 850,000 fans across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat.

Hearth – A History of A Safe Place Matters
HEARTH has been serving Allegheny County’s homeless women with children, who are survivors of domestic violence and other traumas for twenty-four years. Currently, HEARTH is the only transitional housing organization serving this specific population in their county. Since their inception in 1995, HEARTH has given 919 families. 320 women and 599 children A safe place in creating better lives for all.

#BeautyWishes2019 is partnering with ColourPop, CYO, L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline, Morphe, Native, Sigma Beauty and Wet n Wild. These fabulous sponsors are providing much needed beauty and personal care products to each of the participating agencies. Because of HEARTH’s participation in the #BeautyWishes2019 campaign, and the generosity of these sponsors, HEARTH will be able to provide to the women and children HEARTH serves a variety of premium beauty and personal care products from each beauty brand.

#BeautyWishes2019Campaign Details
Each year, the Beauty Wishes fund-raising campaign kicks off with ThaTaylaa’s highly anticipated and wildly popular #15DaysofFoundation YouTube series. On February 1, ThaTaylaa launches Season 6 of her #15DaysofFoundation YouTube series, during which she will announce the five agencies who have been carefully screened and selected to participate in #BeautyWishes2019. ThaTaylaa will also announce the launch of her Merch site and an eBay shop featuring limited edition beauty boxes—custom created by ThaTaylaa—containing brand new cosmetics from top beauty brands where 100% of the proceeds benefit the campaign.

At the conclusion of Season 6 of #15DaysofFoundation, ThaTaylaa will announce the winning agency on her YouTube channel. ThaTaylaa will also host a meetup in the city of the winning agency where, along with Project Beauty Share, she’ll present the bonus prize check of $10K in person.

About Hearth
Started in 1995 by dedicated community volunteers, HEARTH serves one of Allegheny County’s most vulnerable populations, homeless women with children. HEARTH’s vision is that every family and individual lives in safe, affordable housing. HEARTH provides a range of supportive services and housing that empowers homeless families, who are survivors of domestic violence or other trauma to become independent, self-sufficient, and adequately housed. HEARTH’s goal is to be the next step for a mom after she leaves a shelter. Here she can feel safe as she begins to work on becoming economically self-sufficient. While at HEARTH, moms are enrolled in either post-secondary school or a job skills training program. This education along with our on-site access to one on one case management can help families get back on their feet. HEARTH provides families on-site access to safe, affordable housing in furnished, two and three bedroom apartments, weekly case management meetings to set goals and coordinate resources, food and clothing pantries, access to exercise equipment, technology room and access to Wi-Fi, and an Early Head Start classroom.
