Press release from: Europoint Holdings

Europoint Holdings Ltd, owners of the city’s famous Old Waverley hotel and luxury serviced Holyrood Aparthotel, has added two more boutique hotels into its portfolio with the purchase of the 5 star The Howard http://www.thehoward.com/ in New Town and the 4 Star Channings Hotel http://www.channings.co.uk/ in Edinburgh’s West End.

The purchase by Europoint, a member of Palm Holdings, follows the group’s recent expansion in Canada where it acquired two hotels in Waterloo, Ontario; the Best Western St Jacobs Country Inn and Destination Inn & Suites.

The Howard and Channings Hotel, two prestigious Edinburgh boutique hotels, were both previously owned by the Town House Company and boast tremendous reputations for offering the very best in quality and customer service.

‘This acquisition now creates a wonderful collection of hotels offering the perfect choice to meet our clients’ needs in terms of quality, facilities, price and location,’ said Commercial Director, Ricky Kapoor. ‘With our collection of unique properties, we are expertly placed to meet the needs of every type of visitor to Edinburgh: from business travellers and corporate guests looking for that added luxury factor, http://www.oldwaverley.co.uk/ to tourists seeking city centre locations and families seeking a home from home http://www.holyroodaparthotel.com/ environment.’

All four properties will benefit from joint marketing initiatives, which will help increase occupancy levels across the portfolio and provide guests with a stunning choice of sumptuous rooms at residences situated in Edinburgh’s most desirable locations.

Ricky added, ‘our plan is to integrate the The Howard and Channings Hotel into our existing portfolio whilst ensuring they both retain their own special and personal characteristics.’ This portfolio of bespoke hotels will be known as The Edinburgh Collection, http://www.theedinburghcollection.com/ with a new website providing a dedicated point of information on all four properties in this stunning collection.

Europoint Holdings Ltd is a member of Palm Holdings, which brings together a group of family owned businesses within hospitality, commercial offices, land developments and hotel services. Collectively they have been working together and have experience within the group of over 3 generations.

They are further expanding their operations and investment though partnerships and joint venture agreements. By identifying opportunities through rigorous investment criteria they have ensured their projects deliver sustained revenue and asset growth.
