Guinness World Record Attempt for World Peace at Ajeenkya D Y Patil University

Ajeenkya D Y Patil University and Rotaract Club Of Marathwada Mitramandal along with Rotaract district 3131, attempted a Guinness World Record of Biggest Human Peace Symbol recently with an objective of promoting peace worldwide. The Chairman of the University, Dr. Ajeenkya D Y Patil firmly believes that whenever so many people come together and pray for peace, their prayers are definitely answered.



The participants wore white T-shirts and white caps during the attempt. Rotaractors are promoting this practice to raise awareness to avoid devastating terror attacks like 26/11 and also to promote peace and harmony worldwide. Rotaractor Akash Chikate spearheaded the effort in his capacity as the chairperson of the event. Institutions like R.M.D Foundation, Ostrich, Budhani Bros Wafers, KPM Agency, S K Capital, Rotary Club of Pune Kothrud, Rotary Club of Gandhi Bhavan and Rotary Club of Hadapsar also played an effective part in ensuring that the event was a grand success.



Dignitaries like Vice Chancellor Dr. E.B. Khedkar, Rotarian Dr. Kamaljeet Kaur Siddhu (Director corporate affairs ADYPG), Shweta Sharma (Training and Placement Officer Dr D Y Patil Technical Campus), Rotarian Pankaj Shah, District Rotaract Representative Dhruv Gujrathi and Rotary Governer Shailesh Palekar played stellar roles in this world record attempt.
