AGAR is also involved with The Greater Boston Food Bank, one of the largest food banks in the nation, which serves over 394,000 people a year who cannot make ends meet and need help putting food on the table for their families. Both organizations have received both financial support and volunteers from the AGAR staff.
“We have always believed it is our duty, given the nature of our business to support organizations that fight hunger, stated Karen S. Bressler, president and CEO of AGAR. “We are proud to receive an award for such efforts but during times like these, more and more people are going hungry for any number of reasons and we all need to step up and do our part.”
