“Stitch and bitch“ behind the scenes of a couture house - „Death in High Heels“ premieres on 13 February

The summer of 1937 in London: behind the scenes of the elegant London couture house “Christophe”, jealousy, flirtation and sudden death lurk. While owner Frank Bevan is still debating whom to send to his new branch in Deauville as general manager, events take a fast turn in his salon. Each of his employees show an interest in the new position, from creative Mrs Doon and his longstanding right hand Mrs Gregory, to senior saleswoman Irene and showroom manager Dorian –unfortunately becoming murder suspects. Even scatter-brained Rose seems to know a lot more about the goings-on behind the stylish façade than anyone would presume...
The Hamburg Players present “Death in High Heels“ directed by Mathilde Berry at Theater an der Marschnerstraße in Barmbek-Süd (Marschnerstraße 42) from Wednesday 13 February to Saturday 16 February and Wednesday 20 February to Saturday 23 February 2019 at 7.30pm (plus matinée performance on Saturday 16 February at 3.30pm).

The Hamburg Players e.V. is the oldest English-speaking theatre group in Hamburg (founded 1965 by English-speaking expats). Every year they present three full productions on the stage of the Theater an der Marschnerstraße.
