Eminor Record´s new release "Eminor 27/Akiko Kiyama" out

Japanese, Tokyo born Akiko Kiyama has been a prominent figure on the minimal techno scene since her debut release in 2004. The first female minimal tech producer to have come out of Japan now lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

Akiko’s sound is a complex pattern of sounds. Raw and industrial, dark and moody, her signature sits firmly within the minimal style, but with a melodic structure that gives shape and structure. Akiko’s tracks feel like stories, captivatingly told through her experimentation with sound.

On Eminor 27, Akiko follows her outstanding feel for graceful and complex sound design inspired by the land of the setting sun: the result is a sound which is shady and deranged yet seductive and mesmerizing at the same time. The remix by Neal White & Morelle reinterprets her sound with a more pushy and rational way which evokes the feeling of getting lost in an endless loop of a condensed sunset oil painting.

EMINOR Records was founded by Jonas Wahrlich in 2006. It initially sought to publish a wide variety of repetitive music with some kind of relation to the key e-minor. As the frequency of releases increased, the tonal restriction was handled more leniently and the musical focus moved towards deep and minimal techno. However, a musical relation to e-minor itself is still appreciated. Having its roots in Hamburg´s electronic scene, the label quickly evolved as an international melting pot for contemporary electronics and has built up a strong network of mutual inspiration.

EMINOR Binary is the digital subsidiary of the Eminor flagship. It has been created to add a quicker and more flexible way in releasing outstanding music. Whereas Eminor follows a very focussed and pretty narrow musical style, EB will have a more open approach and thereby will be the one that may surprise you with what you hear from time to time.

New release: Eminor 28 by Berlin based duett Turmspringer (containing remix by Laufmasche) out now / digital January 21st Eminor 28 is a record filled with a harmonic fusion of surprising musical contradictions. In “Ooh Zoot”, Turmspringer spices up twinkle-toed minimal house with jazz-inspired funkiness. Yet they easily manage to avoid the risk of staying superficial by flavouring the tune with a unique strangeness. With “In Between 2 Cigarettes” Turmspringer

On DER HUT 14, German techno aficionado Felix Bernhardt comes along with wavering minimal compositions. According to the track titles “Black Donkey” and “Die lustige Lokomotive” (The funny locomotive), playfulness is an important part of Bernhardt`s musical concept. Whereas “Black Donkey” is a massive piece of bass concentration mixed with a rotund sound structure, sampled vocals and a thrilling build-up for explosive dancefloor moments, “Die lustige Lokomotive” starts with playful,
