Dr. Marta I. Rendon Celebrates the Spirit of Giving this Holiday and Everyday
BOCA RATON, Fla., NOVEMBER 2010 – The holiday season evokes a renewed spirit of giving, however, noted Dermatologist Marta I. Rendon, M.D. is proud to celebrate and participate in charitable initiatives year-round and around the globe.Founder of the Rendon Center for Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine in Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Rendon is double board certified in dermatology and internal medicine. Dr. Rendon has served as a voluntary associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine for over 20 years and is the former chairperson of the Department of Dermatology of Cleveland Clinic Florida.
In addition to running a prominent dermatology practice, Dr Rendon donates countless hours to fundraising, educational seminars and free skin screenings. She lends her support to many charitable organizations, some which include Junior League Boca Raton, Soroptimist Boca Raton/Deerfield, Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Go Pink Challenge, Paps Corp, Florence Fuller Child Development Center, and Hadassah.
Dr. Rendon serves year round as a community partner with the Junior League Boca Raton, providing support for all of their initiatives, such as the Woman Volunteer of the Year Award, all pre-events for Woman Volunteer of the Year, Golf Tournament, Chocolate Decadence event and more. Additionally, at the Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon, Dr. Rendon annually awards one lucky winner “A Year of Beauty” including one year’s worth of treatments and procedures – the ultimate beauty makeover.
Dr Rendon is proud to recognize women who prioritize volunteerism in their lives. On October 13, 2010, Dr. Rendon acted as the Official Sponsor of the Soroptimist Women of Distinction Award Breakfast where thirty-plus South Florida women were recognized for their professionalism, leadership roles and commitment to their community. Additionally, in October of 2010, Dr. Rendon helped share in the celebration at the 23rd Annual Junior League Boca Raton’s Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon. These outstanding organizations are committed to developing the potential for women and improving the community through effective action and leadership through volunteerism.
As former Chief of Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Rendon’s office serves as a Training Center for many Cosmetic Dermatology Procedures such as Botox, Sculptra and Radiesse. Her renowned expertise in training other Physicians in administering the most current treatments in the aesthetic field have made Dr. Rendon a sought after lecturer and advisor worldwide.
Research and training developments are often found at Skin Care Research, Inc. clinical research organization with more than 15 years experience located at The Rendon Center for Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine. Skin Care Research, Inc., specializes in conducting phase II, III and IV clinical research trials and in designing and developing original studies.
Outside of the Boca Raton practice, Dr. Rendon, has been recognized globally as an innovative trendsetter on the forefront of cosmetic dermatology and research. This recognition has led to her being selected by Procter & Gamble’s Head & Shoulders to be its global celebrity dermatologist. Dr. Rendon’s partnership commenced in 2009 with her work on the U.S. and European “Love Your Hair, Respect Your Scalp” consumer education campaign.
