Top It Off! FEM's dry ingredient dispensers are perfect for measuring toppings onto desserts
FEM’s now supplies Server dry ingredient dispensers, which are perfect for adding dry toppings to desserts, such as ice cream, knickabocker glories and signature sundaes. Toppings like chocolate chunks, sprinkles and colourful sweets are eye-catching as well as tasty. The topping increases value and appeal to these types of dessert, which are often ordered on impulse. FEM’s dispensers deliver controlled portions, so the user can very accurately manage how much topping each dessert requires. The portion can be adjusted to 15 different sizes between 7ml and 60ml by volume. Exactly the correct amount is delivered each time, so costs are lowered since no product is wasted by inaccurate servings.
Once portion size is determined the dispenser can be locked so there is no need to worry about it being reset accidentally. Even during busy periods managers can be confident that their staff are serving the correct amount, every time. Service time is further sped up by the wide opening at the top of the unit, which makes refilling quick and easy.
Each dispenser only needs 127mm of wall space and so several can be banked together. The dispensers are available in one or two litre sizes and can be bought as either a single, double or triple configuration. Being wall-mounted they are out of the way and don’t take up any extra space in the service area.
They are ideal for front-of-house as their clear polycarbonate hoppers show off what’s inside: the customer can see the toppings and choose what they want. The dispensers can also be used to serve powders, smoothie mixes and blended coffee drinks.
