Nexus Insurance Services Launches Twitter Series to Provide Health Care Tips For Medical Professionals
The series of Twitter tweets will cover health care tips that will help medical professionals provide better patient care. Each daily tweet will be annotated with the hash tag #healthcaretip so that people can follow the series on Twitter. Those with a Twitter account can re-tweet, or repost the tweet to share with their followers.
The growing popularity of the website, Twitter.com, has created the opportunity for companies to connect with their customers via social media. They are also using social networking sites to collaborate and share ideas. In the health care industry, hospitals and medical professionals are using Twitter to share news and broaden their reach.
“With medical malpractice such a hot topic in the news and people offering their opinions on the subject, we wanted to steer away from the negative and get medical professionals to re-focus on what is important,” said Michael Kataf of Nexus Insurance Services. “By providing tips for those working in the medical industry on a site like Twitter, we hope to generate a more positive dialogue about health care. We also don’t want to be a medical malpractice insurance brokerage that just sells insurance. We want to provide value and be a resource for our clients.”
