Twenty-Nine More MedicalEdge Healthcare Group Providers Receive Bridges to Excellence® Recognition

Dallas, TX – November 16, 2010 -- MedicalEdge Healthcare Group, P.A. has announced that an additional 29 of its healthcare providers have qualified to receive Bridges to Excellence (BTE) recognition, bringing the company’s overall total recognitions to 153. Thirteen physicians have been recognized in the Cardiac Care Recognition Program and twenty-five have received recognition in the Diabetes Care Recognition Program, with seven doctors receiving recognition in both programs. Of particular note, eleven providers achieved Level 3 status in the Cardiac Care Recognition Program, placing them among the top 10% of physicians nationally in the management of cardiac disease. Dr. Suthee Thumasathit and Dr. Alfred Hulse saw their BTE recognition Level 2 increased to Level 3 in the Cardiac Care Recognition Program, and Dr. Paul Taylor's BTE recognition Level 1 was increased to BTE Level 2 in the Diabetes Care Recognition Program. BTE recognition is awarded to physicians in specific care areas who have demonstrated quality management of patients with chronic diseases, and who have attained patient outcomes in the top ranks of national standards.
