Press release from: Camelot Marketing

How to buy Christmas gifts for women has been a mystery to men have for years. Although,“just don’t get me a vacuum cleaner” makes most men shy away from useful gifts, for some what a woman really wants is still a mystery.

Lynn Harker, owner of www.UCAN2.com, an inspirational e-gift boutique, sent a short survey to over 400 women asking what makes Christmas gifts for women inspirational. When asked what they would prefer ranging from a meaningful card to a real splurge, 60% of the women responding chose, “Thoughtful is better—Give me something with a story behind it.”

Likewise, another question asked what kind of Christmas gift you’d like to receive from a man in your life. Respondents could choose: Jewelry or accessories; pampering or romance; appliance or technology; or thoughtful gifts that reflect me. Surprisingly, over 50% chose “thoughtful gifts that reflect me” even over jewelry or romance.

And when Harker asked her customers what gifts women find most inspirational, respondents singled out two categories: Gifts that Awe—open my eyes to the magnificent and Gifts that Encourage—remind me to look on the lighter side.

Harker explains, “According to many I heard from, women and Christmas is all about inspiration.” She continues, “Christmas gifts for women that really inspire most, are those with a meaning behind them—a meaning close to that woman’s heart.”

What does it mean to give a meaningful gift? As one women said, “I like to receive gifts that are well thought out and planned for, that took some creativity—the kind that make my heart stop and say, ‘You did this for me?’”

Wondering what to buy a woman in your life this holiday? Harker received many specific ideas for Christmas gifts for women:
• Personal Note—“A card with a small personal note that shows gratitude and thoughtfulness.”
• Something Symbolic—“A gift that can be worn or seen everyday to remind me that I’m special to someone.”
• Inspirational Gift—“Something that expresses belief or confidence in me—telling me I’m special.”
• Celebrating her Femininity—“Beautiful and feminine things that remind me that it’s great to be a woman.”
• Embracing her Individuality—“Something that shows you know me and my heart, something meaningful.

Harker’s gift boutique specializes in gifts that have a meaning. In fact her company slogan is, “Gifts that inspire the heart of a woman.”

What does Harker recommend for Christmas giving this year? Think about her story and meet her someplace that captures her heart. According to the women Harker surveyed, that formula is sure to make for an inspiring Christmas for all involved.
