Body:

Invited to join Innotribe and to speak at SIBOS, the world’s premier financial services event, Smartlogic CEO Jeremy Bentley will be discussing how the financial industry, its trade promotion, settlement and compliance functions are transformed by semantic search in his Smart Data keynote speech on Wednesday 27 October 2010 at the Sibos conference venue RAI in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Organised by SWIFT, the global provider of secure financial messaging services, Sibos is an annual event that brings together the financial industry for one week to create a unique opportunity for individuals, organisations and the community as a whole to meet, discuss, learn, to do business and keep in touch with what is going on in the industry.

Jeremy Bentley will be contributing to a comprehensive programme of activities throughout Sibos week organised by Innotribe, a SWIFT initiative that offers to encourage collaborative innovation in the financial services sector. Through the exploration of innovative ideas and the discovery of new business and technology trends, Innotribe provide the opportunity to share and discuss ground-breaking ideas that will shape the future of the industry.

Smartlogic are present at the event as the developers of the open semantic platform, Semaphore, software unique in its capability to analyze, classify and reveal content by offering ontology management, content classification and semantic enhancement. Semantic search benefits for the financial services industry are multi-fold.
In addition to discussing the application of enterprise semantic web and advanced analytics in the financial industry, Jeremy Bentley will be joining other key industry figures for a Smart Data Face-to-Face where they will debate the evolution and implications of smart data and the semantic web. About Smartlogic – www.smartlogic.com

Smartlogic are the producers of Semaphore, the open semantic platform that delivers semantic benefits to all information management systems. Semaphore delivers order to unstructured information, providing the most compelling semantic applications for search, content management and business process automation.

Organizations that adopt a semantic approach to their information management strategy improve the accuracy and efficacy of information intensive tasks such as tagging and finding information; enabling content integration across disparate sources and automating complex text intensive tasks. This combination delivers the highest return on an organisation’s information assets.

Media companies use Semaphore to improve the quality of their information feeds, boosting distribution, readership & subscriptions.
Government authorities use Semaphore to tag information according to their standards, for compliance, intelligence processing & citizen self-service.
Healthcare companies use Semaphore to boost the level of self-service and improve the quality of critical health information they provide to patients.
Investment banks use Semaphore to consolidate their information costs, better promote their primary research and automate information compliance.
Online directories use Semaphore to increase their advertising revenues.
Corporate intranets & websites use Semaphore to boost their use and maximise their return on information assets.
Information managers use Semaphore to manage their taxonomies and ontologies, classification schemes and records retention policies.
