New ‘très chic’ Paris Shoppe at Robb & Stucky Interiors offers furnishings, accents and accessories

BOCA RATON & PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Robb & Stucky Interiors, long known as a destination for trend-setting home style, has introduced “The Paris Shoppe” in each of its interior showrooms, including locations in Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A mélange of pieces “collected” from famous furniture makers like French Heritage, Century, Vanguard and French Laundry, these new Robb & Stucky Paris Shoppes present French-inspired style in accents, accessories and furnishings.

Kris Kolar, Robb & Stucky Vice President of Interior Design, says she and the Robb & Stucky design team “recognized a trend toward French loft items, but there was not a place where consumers could find a core collection of that look. So, at Robb & Stucky, we decided to gather different looks, from French country to more refined and even industrial French styles, and present these fabulous finds in The Paris Shoppe. It is an ‘unexpected surprise’ in the showroom,” according to Kolar.

The fabrics are from a company called French Laundry, whose inspiration is letters and numbers printed on French country feed bags. These typographical elements are prominently seen on several of the furniture pieces, including an ottoman and throw pillows. The muted linens and cottons already have an aged appeal.

Many different materials are used in the furniture. There are distressed woods with dry finishes and a table finished with a decoupage technique. There are natural elements, including a beachwood mirror that is reminiscent of small pieces of driftwood. Furnishings with a venerable look reveal the wood’s natural color with white-washed tones and gilded accents. The finishes highlight the blond or natural tone of the wood.

A barstool in The Paris Shoppe, made by Century Furniture, is displayed as a table. It has a sophisticated retro, industrial look. The seat is hand-carved solid oak with a natural finish and a French iron finished base.

There is a chairside table, also from Century, that is Chippendale-influenced. The table features a unique framed top with inlaid parchment imprinted with antique papers.

Some pieces have a more tailored look with French tufting on the edges of the loveseat. French café windows are also part of the shoppe’s setting.

Kolar says that every consumer can be inspired in The Paris Shoppe. “The interesting and individual pieces mix well with styles as diverse as antiques or industrial looks. That allows clients to bring a bit of joie de vivre to their living room, bedroom or pied-à-terre,” she concluded.
