5 Western European countries are continued to get free Vietnam visa until June 30th, 2021

On May 3rd, 2018, the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc decided to prolong the visa waiver program for the citizens of 5 Western European countries including United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain for three more years. This is the second time this visa exemption policy has been extended since it was piloted on July 1st, 2015.

According to the renewed project, the visitors from 5 countries mentioned above can continue to enter Vietnam without being required a visa for less than 15 days and the visa is available for all kinds of passport and purpose. There are some criteria to get this privilege citizens of qualified countries should pay attention to as follows:
• The applicant’s passport must be maintain its validity for at least 6 months from the entry date in Vietnam
• The next entry date must be at least 30 days from the previous exit. Otherwise the visitor is required to obtain a visa to enter Vietnam.
• Foreigners holding British National Oversea passport are not waived from visa requirement.
