Founded in Dublin by filmmaker Stephen O’ Regan, along with musicians Tom Millett and Pauline Freeman in June of 2006, Balcony TV is now the leading online daily viral music show that features bands, musicians and other variety acts on balconies around the world. Just one year later in 2007, Balcony TV won the Best Music Website at the Irish Digital Media Awards and was nominated for the Best Viral Content at the prestigious International Webby Awards 2008. The website now averages 20,000 video views per day and has over 14 million views total.
Balcony TV has featured musicians from big labels and management companies such as Island Records, Columbia, RCA, Epic, Glassnote, and Big Machine Media, as well as popular acts such as The Script, Of Montreal, Matisyahu, Deer Tick, The Temper Trap, Buzzcocks, Mumford and Sons, and Earth Wind and Fire.
Currently, BTV operates from locations in New York, Hamburg, London, Poznan, Nashville, Auckland, Brighton, Paris, and Austin. With the arrival of the NYC division, SkyeLab Music Group and BTV are seeking experienced artists to perform on the show.
