Munck Carter Attorney Leon Carter Earns Distinguished Alumni Honors

DALLAS – Dallas attorney E. Leon Carter, a name partner and executive committee member at Munck Carter LLP, is being honored by both his high school and university alma maters based on his many achievements in the field of law.

The Carthage Independent School District High School alumni association has invited Mr. Carter to speak to students during Homecoming Weekend in October, when the school will induct him into its Hall of Fame. The community is invited to a reception preceding the ceremony to meet Mr. Carter, who also will address students with tips on succeeding in life.

In addition, East Texas Baptist University is presenting Mr. Carter with the university’s annual J. Wesley Smith Achievement Award for his exceptional achievements in the field of law, and his support of the university. Other past recipients of this honor include former federal judge and Congressman Sam B. Hall and Fry Electronics founder Charles Fry.

“I am honored to be recognized by these two excellent schools,” Mr. Carter says. “These are the institutions that instilled in me the foundations I would need to succeed in life and in my career, and I always will be grateful for that.

In Mr. Carter’s 20 years of trial and litigation experience, he has compiled a strong client list and a sterling reputation as a top legal advocate. The Dallas Business Journal has named him as one of the top 15 corporate defense attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth in the annual listing of “The Defenders.” Mr. Carter also is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and regularly appears in the annual Texas Super Lawyers list in Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazines. He also has been named as one of the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America.
