Fort Worth Attorney Steven Laird Named President of Texas Trial Advocates Group

FORT WORTH, Texas – Noted Fort Worth attorney Steven C. Laird has been elected president of the Texas chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates (TEX-ABOTA).

In the new position, Mr. Laird will lead approximately 1,000 attorney members of TEX-ABOTA in their ongoing effort to preserve the civil jury system, which is central to the mission of the national American Board of Trial Advocates.

“The American Board of Trial Advocates educates the public of the importance of the Constitutional right to a trial by jury, and helps educate lawyers on the art of trial advocacy,” says Mr. Laird, founder of The Law Offices of Steven C. Attorneys from 14 local branches of the American Board of Trial Advocates comprise TEX-ABOTA, which is one of the largest chapters in the 6,400-member national organization.

TEX-ABOTA has been especially effective in holding successful continuing legal education (CLE) events for its members, and educating the public on the historic origins and importance of the American trial by jury.

Mr. Laird has handled numerous cases involving serious injuries and deaths related to traffic accidents caused by tractor-trailers and other heavy trucks. His extensive experience in these matters has made him a go-to expert for the Dallas-Fort Worth media. Mr. Laird has been selected as one of the Top 100 attorneys in the state of Texas on the Texas Super Lawyers list since 2005. He has been named among the top 100 attorneys in Dallas-Fort Worth since the list began in 2003.
