Restaurant’s “Community Days” Creates Goodwill for Struggling Organizations, Nonprofits & Charities
Orzo Trattoria Dedicates One Day a Week to Local Charities
(GREATER BOSTON, MA) – Orzo Trattoria in North Andover, MA has just announced its latest community relations program, “Community Days,” a weekly event dedicated to supporting local charities and organizations.
Beginning October 2010, every Sunday Orzo Trattoria will donate 15% of the restaurants food sales to any community based organization, non-profit or charity seeking a way to raise funds for their cause.
Any nonprofit organization such as high school sports teams, community groups or charities are welcome to book a Sunday “Community Day” as a way to raise both awareness and money for their cause.
On “Community Days” guests will be able to allocate a day for their organization (Example: The South Town Community Day”). All guests that come into the restaurant between the hours of 12:00PM-9:30PM that make a reservation noting that they are doing so on behalf of the organization or mention the name of the group as a walk-in will have 15% of their bill donated to the participating organization or charity. To take it one step further, even guests that place take-out orders on a “Community Day” can donate a portion of their proceeds to the featured organization in the same manner.
“We’re a neighborhood restaurant and we’re about Community. We were trying to come up with a way to help the various school groups and charity organizations and we thought this was an easy way for these groups to raise money for their cause, team, or what have you. The group just needs to call to schedule their Sunday and get the word out to their members, friends and family and we’ll even put up a sign in our restaurant to help market the night,” said Michael Reppucci, Owner of Orzo Trattoria.
