Press release from: WorldProgressReport

World Progress Report educates parents about the potential for autism in toddlers.

Becoming a new parent is one of the most exciting and invigorating experiences that life has to offer. Life changes for parents in the blink of an eye, and priorities are shifted to ensure the most promising future for the new member of the family. While it is a joyous time, new parents need to be cognizant of the health of their new child and his or her development. While all babies require boosters and general immunizations, it’s also very important to make sure you acknowledge the behavior of the child to ensure their health.

There are those cases where a child may potentially show signs of limited development, and may be autistic. Autism is serious and widespread and it’s important to monitor behavioral development because treatment for autism is more successful the earlier it begins in childhood. About one in every two hundred children show signs of the disease, and subsequently should be examined by a licensed pediatrician.

Things to look out for include poor language skills, or lack of “babbling” from age one to two. If a child doesn’t respond well to your voice or to other sounds, and has a poor time maintaining eye contact with anything or anyone, it’s also possible that they are afflicted with autism. Other signs can be attachment to one particular item and apparent loss of hearing, but usually a child will display many of these traits at the same time prior to being diagnosed.

World Progress Report hopes to provide valuable content regarding the options parents have for treatment, as well as other ways to ensure a toddler is as healthy as possible. The life of our children is precious and needs to be protected.
