The summer camp bus will come directly to your home each morning and your child will be greeted by our friendly camp counselors, walked to the bus and seat belted in. Once your child arrives at our fun and safe summer day camp is when your child’s adventure begins! Campers will meet with his/her camp counselors, fellow campers and Division Leader. Campers are grouped by age and gender, so your child is sure to be placed in groups of same gender campers of the same age. Our experienced summer day camp staff is fully stocked with several licensed teachers and licensed principals on staff and our camp counselors are just amazing! It’s a fact that many of our counselors start off at World of Discovery Day Camp as campers! Prospective camp counselors go through an interview process in which only the best of the best candidates are hired. At World of Discovery Day Camp our camper to counselor ratios are the best in Queens!

Campers at World of Discovery Day Camp of Bayside Queens, NY experience the best summer camp experience of their lives at our wonderful campgrounds, located in the exclusive, shady and cool John Golden ballfields at Crocheron Park in Bayside, Queens. Once at the campground, campers have the options to participate in outdoor activities and sports of their choice including soccer, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, dodgeball, kickball and much more! We encourage campers to take full advantage of our fun arts and crafts program as well as our amazingly interesting fun science program designed with incredible kid-friendly activities!

Afternoons are jam-packed with air-conditioned specialty activities such as karate, dance classes, billiards, internet cafe, and an up close and personal behind-the-scenes look at an ice cream parlor (complete with ice cream tasting!) Specialty activities also include arts and crafts, sports instruction, magic shows, puppet shows, special events, color wars, relay races, tug-of-war, Olympics, tie dying and many more summer camp activities that the campers can’t get enough of!

World of Discovery Day Camp of Bayside Queens, NY campers swim in the safety of our spectacular swimming pool! Campers swim under the watchful eye of our experienced staff of lifeguards, counselors and swim instructors. Our swim program provides your child with all of the skills necessary to become more comfortable in the pool and eventually learn how to swim – if they do not know how to swim already. Swim instructors work with campers in small groups and even offer 1:1 instruction based on swimmers needs and abilities. Advanced swimmers may use our diving board as long as they pass our comprehensive deep-water test. Our beautiful pool is open exclusively to World of Discovery Day Camp campers and staff as the pool is a private club that is closed to its own members while our campers are there. World of Discovery campers can participate in the swim instruction program that is offered at no additional cost, they may swim recreationally in free swim – or they can split their time between both swimming activities.

Depending on age group, campers will go on 2-3 trips each week to the most amazingly fun and exciting locations for kids that New York has to offer! Each summer our camp staff searches for new trip ideas and locations to bring our campers to so that they can experience the best trips around! We offer a variety of trips / trip locations that are all age appropriate and plenty of fun! Trips for the campers over 10 years old include horseback riding, deep sea fishing, Dave & Busters, Adventureland, Speed Boat around Manhattan and many more! Campers under 10 years old go on several amazing trips including Little Chefs, LazerTag, Whitepost Farms, Ultimate Gaga and much more!
