2010-09-15 - Two of ABB's wide range of industrial robots will be making a guest appearance on the ABB Rolling Stock booth at this years InnoTrans show
ABB has grown its rail activities considerably in recent years, growing from a position of an outsider, to be a major supplier of industrial robots and robotic manufacturing systems for several leading train companies and rail network operators.

At InnoTrans 2010 in Berlin, from September 21 to 24, we will be presenting both our largest industrial robot (IRB 7600) with a payload capacity of up to 650kg, and one of our smallest (IRB 140) with a capacity of 6kg. The small robot will be demonstrating a fully integrated application package for grinding and deburring and will feature Force Control technology.

ABB currently has more than 100 robots working in railway industries in over 18 countries. Applications range from inspection of rolling stock wheels, to painting of rail cars, to welding of carriages and boggies.

Visit us in Messe Berlin, Hall 2.2, Stand 207, where our Railway Expert Team of Steve Bartholomew, Tore Lindstrom and Anna Liberg will be available to answer your questions, discuss any projects you may have and explain how ABB robots can help your railway operations to be more flexible, safer and more productive.
