SGS to Perform AWS Certified Welding Inspector Training Course and Examination Session in Vietnam
For Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy and Construction industries, the ability to precisely size and monitor discontinuities in welds is of significant importance. Therefore, companies demand certification of their inspectors to be able to conduct a professional and reliable welding inspection.
On October 4-11, 2010. SGS Industrial Services has organized an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) training course and examination session in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in order to meet the high demand for welding inspection skills on the market.
The training program offered by SGS prepares candidates for the AWS Certified Welding Inspector examination. Participants will receive comprehensive welding inspection training and undertake practical exercises in welding processes and procedures, certified by the American Welding Society (AWS). This training includes, among other topics, welding inspection technology, Visual Inspection and other Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods. During the course information about safe practices for welding inspectors and relevant documents governing welding inspection and qualification will also be provided.
Since 2005 SGS has been an authorized agent of the American Welding Society, an organization which aims to advance the science technology and application of welding and related joining disciplines, and trains and certifies welding inspectors on behalf of AWS. Due to rigorous requirements, the AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification is a recognized qualification, accepted around the world in the welding and QA/QC industry.
SGS Industrial Services offers Welding Inspector Training certified by the American Welding Society (AWS) on a regular basis. For 2010, SGS has scheduled nine Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) courses and certification exams in Colombia, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Spain. Further CWI courses and certification exams will be offered in Panama, Ecuador, Argentina and Thailand.
In addition to the AWS Certified Welding Inspector training and examination, SGS provides internationally recognized training and certification services in Non-Destructive Testing.
