Synopsis:
It's county fair time in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota, which means one
thing to Gunner and Clara Johnson, owners of a little bar called The
Bunyan; The Miss Walleye Queen Competition. Bernice, the pretty waitress,
sees this as her big chance to win Miss Walleye Queen, to be
discovered, and more important, to have her face carved in butter at the
State Fair. The trouble begins when Gunner's wife, Clara, decides she also wants to win Miss Walleye Queen, and when Gunner's estranged twin sister,
Trigger, shows up to try to win the beauty pageant, things get ugly.

Phil Olson, author of 10 published plays that have been performed in over 150 cities around North America will conduct a 90 minute seminar on the basics of writing plays and screenplays. Phil lives in Los Angeles where he has sold 2 screenplays and has script doctored 3 other screenplays that have been produced. Phil is also in talks to develop his Don't Hug Me musicals into an animated series.
Do you have a good idea for a story? Ever want to write a play or screenplay but don't know where to start? Hollywood studios often buy screenplays from first time screenwriters. Topics for the seminar will include story structure, character development, conflict, plot points, inciting incidents, the writing process, generating ideas, adaptations, and more.
