Press release from: Massage Envy Oswego, IL

/ PR Agency: JJR Marketing Consultants
(Oswego, IL.-September 1, 2010) Jan Gentner, owner of Massage Envy Oswego and Wheaton, has been chosen to receive the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award (EEA) in the Growth category from The Business Ledger, a bi-weekly business publication which serves DuPage, Kane, Will and suburban Cook counties. She will be honored at a September 16 awards reception at Danada House in Wheaton.

Jan Gentner, is a true example of a passionate entrepreneur. Gentner left behind a high salary position as a sales representative to pursue her dream of owning her own business. Her risk taking attitude (an attribute of successful entrepreneurs) is showcased as she opened the very first Massage Envy in IL in one of the worst economic downturns in the US. She went beyond that and opened her second location in Oswego, IL where she now employs over 90 people in both locations. “I am very fortunate to be able to embrace something that I am passionate about my own business,” Gentner says. “But, more importantly, I love helping clients find their own escape from the daily grind with massages that fit almost any budget.”

“We are again pleased to recognize the important role of entrepreneurs in our dynamic suburban community through this awards program,” said Jeremy Stoltz, editor of The Business Ledger. “That we are honoring 21 men and women who have contributed greatly to the economic strength of this area is in keeping with our mission of telling the stories of successful business owners and executives. “It’s further testimony to the great diversity of our area that so many industries and businesses are represented by our honorees, showing why our suburban area is at the forefront of entrepreneurship.”
