ADSA Charity Bazaar at Conrad Cairo

– Conrad Cairo was proud to host the Asian Diplomats' Spouses Association (ADSA) for its annual charity bazaar. This bazaar showcases and sells traditional handmade Asian products in an initiative to help the underprivileged in Egypt, especially women and children, and is headed by the spouse of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Egypt, Mrs. Mandara Yogarajan

This year at Conrad Cairo, the ADSA’s charity bazaar exhibited products from twenty different Asian countries, ranging from clothes, handicrafts and stalls full of tasty Asian cuisine. In addition, there were luxurious lace crochet handmade pieces from Sri Lanka that were crocheted in a live display in front of guests while the finished products were put on sale. Guests also enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan tea served at the bazaar – this tea is considered one of the finest teas in the world. The bazaar also included a cultural performance by the contributing countries, as well as great raffle prizes.

Hosting and supporting the annual Asian Charity Bazaar is part of Conrad Cairo’s corporate responsibility efforts. This year the proceeds will be donated to 15 Egyptian charity associations which include the Children Cancer Hospital 57375, Luxor Cancer Hospital, Nile River School, Baheya Foundation and Light & Hope Association.
