Hollywood, CA (June, 2010) - Joining School Dayz' Mission College, A Different World's Hillman College, Drumline's Atlanta A&T University and Stomp the Yard's Truth University, "Douglass U" is next in line for becoming one of the legendary "Hollywood Black Colleges and Universities" (the other, "HBCUs").

You can become part of "Douglass U" by entering the "HBCU Experience" Sweepstakes!

"Douglass U' is a comedy film about a young man's unexpected and memorable freshman experience at one of the country's (fictitious) premiere Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

In this urban comedy, we see a portion of the freshman year journey of an African American kid as he transitions from an all white high school to a HBCU and faces a whole new world of challenges, that include trying to fit in and holding on to his scholarship. Through it all, he finds that he has the support of his professors and his boys.

The film's writer, Hari Williams, drew inspiration for the script from a few of his experiences while a theater major at Howard University.

Now it's YOUR turn! Share a few of your more memorable HBCU moments with us, and you could be on your way to being a part of the next legendary "HBCU".

You may be a current HBCU student, or a proud parent or alumni, or simply a past attendee at a homecoming game. Whatever YOUR memorable experience was, we want to hear it! Visit DouglassU.com/HBCU and share your experience before Monday, July 12, 2010, and you could be the lucky person chosen at random to become a part of the movie. Filming begins on July 31st in Los Angeles, CA.

We are inviting all HBCU students, alums, parents, cousins, friends, or, "..the school was just in my back yard..." folks from Howard, South Carolina State, Morehouse, Hampton, Bowie State, Clark-Atlanta, Spelman, FAMU, Kentucky State, TSU, Tuskegee, North Carolina A&T, Alabama A&M, NCCU, Johnson C Smith, Morgan State, Bethune-Cookman, Grambling, Albany State, as well as the remaining 103 HBCUs, to share YOUR memorable experience!
