The Future of Smart Factories: Insider Navigation presenting a game changer at Smart Factory Expo
Vienna/Liverpool, 12.11.2018 – Insider Navigation, the first company that offers augmented reality based intuitive centimeter accurate indoor navigation without the use of additional hardware, is going to present a game changer for future factories: By connecting physical data with Augmented Reality, Clemens Kirner makes it possible to navigate through factories, communicate with machines and perform inspections and maintenance as well as inventories.„Companies have been experimenting with Augmented Reality for a long time now. We saw a great potential for AR in many processes connected to the work in factories“, says Clemens Kirner, founder and CEO of Insider Navigation. Some of the biggest issues in factories are not being able to find important components, figuring out what the red lights on some machines mean and why they suddenly stopped working and navigating through the huge venues, which seem to get bigger each day. That’s why Kirner decided to create a technology, which makes the daily work routine of production workers easier. The technology merges the data of a venue and its components and connects it with Augmented Reality. By using a mobile device, such as a smartphone or a tablet with a camera, that digital information is then being added to physical objects. With Insider Navigation you are able to merge your digital data with the physical venue.
The software does not only help workers, to reduce stress in their daily work routine, it also helps companies to save time as well as money. Studies have shown, that what companies unknowingly spend a lot of money on, is employees searching for something. “With our technology, we are able to revolutionize the way workers interact, communicate and work with machines, how they can find exactly what they are looking for in much less time than they do using some plans or asking their way through the factories” says Kirner.
