nanocosmos Introduces New Features for nanoStream Cloud & H5Live Player, Part of Their Ultra-Low-Latency Live Streaming CDN, at Streaming Media West

At Streaming Media West, nanocosmos presents enhanced features for nanoStream Cloud , H5Live Player and CDN that will improve user engagement, and provide better QoS insight over the live streaming workflow. For plugin-free end-to-end browser-based use cases, nanocosmos demonstrates nanoStream WebRTC.live in combination with nanoStream Cloud & H5Live Player.

nanocosmos, the Berlin-based interactive live streaming company, now offers several improvements that will help customers around the world to engage their audiences, and get better insights of their workflow.

nanoStream Cloud as ultra-low latency (ULL) CDN has been expanded, with new Points of Presence (PoPs) around the world. By increasing its worldwide architecture, the global scale of nanoStream Cloud can attend higher volume streaming, larger audiences and more world regions. “We see more and more interactive use cases with a global audience that need to deliver their streams in ultra-low latency. At the same time, we see a big lack of technologies that can truly improve user engagement on a global scale. nanoStream Cloud as ULL CDN closes this gap and helps businesses worldwide to deliver their live streams in ultra-low latency on any device and everywhere” said Oliver Lietz, nanocosmos CEO.

The new features also include nanoStream Cloud analytics, and new nanoStream H5Live Player metrics, providing full insight into the live streaming workflow. The cloud analytics will provide more information on the CDN performance, while the player metrics provide information for the user experience. “We are now able to correlate quality of service with user experience. The combination of new Analytics and Metrics will give much better insights to the end-to-end quality of the nanoStream Cloud user experience”, said Oliver.

For the ingest part, live encoding Add-ons for nanoStream Cloud have also gone through important improvements. nanoStream WebRTC.live, the browser-based live encoder, has been enhanced and samples have been improved for easy implementation and development. For social media broadcasters, nanoStream Apps and SDKs have been updated and new nanoStream App versions are available for download on Apple Store and Google Store. Additional improvements have been done for integrating 3rd party live encoders like Wirecast, OBS, LiveU and Elemental.

nanoStream software and services enable true interactive use cases, such as iGaming, Trivia Game Shows, Live Auctions, and Webcasts.
