MIAMI, FL -- June 14, 2010 – Miami-based law firm Lash & Goldberg LLP announced today that partners Alan D. Lash and Martin B. Goldberg have been recognized again for inclusion in Florida Super Lawyers, a distinction conferred on only five percent of the attorneys throughout the state. In addition, senior associate Laurie E. Stern has been chosen for the second year as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. To receive recognition as a Super Lawyer, candidates are evaluated on 12 indicators of professional achievement, including a statewide survey, an independent evaluation and a peer review.

Lash brings nearly 25 years of complex litigation experience to the firm, where he serves regional and national clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, finance, real estate and telecommunications. With his appointment by The American Arbitration Association (AAA) to its Commercial Arbitration Panel, Lash is the only accredited AAA arbitrator in Florida who is also certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in health law. Lash is one of only 11 attorneys nationwide invited by the AAA to serve on the Healthcare Dispute Resolution Advisory Council.

Goldberg is a trial lawyer who handles both criminal and complex civil litigation. As a former federal judicial law clerk, federal prosecutor and certified public accountant, he brings an extensive courtroom, litigation and business background to his client representations and has garnered recognition for successfully handling high-profile and complex cases across the United States. In addition to prevailing in major cases through dispositive written motions, Goldberg has tried numerous cases to favorable verdict and has extensive arbitration experience.

Stern is a seasoned litigator with an emphasis in healthcare. She routinely handles provider contract, managed care, peer review, and regulatory compliance matters. Stern’s practice also includes the representation of nurses and other healthcare providers in state licensure board investigations and proceedings.
