Flirtomatic launches Android, Blackberry and Ovi applications and rolls out Facebook integration across website with “Like” buttons for profiles
London, 08 June 2010: Flirtomatic, one of the most popular social mobile services used by young adults globally, has announced today the launch of its Android application available for free on the Android Marketplace and has rolled out the next stage of Facebook integration across the website with “Like” buttons on user profiles.Since Flirtomatic launched its iPhone app in January this year, it has proved extremely popular and the handset has since become the largest single source of inflow of new users.
Following this success, it is launching an Android application, allowing users to take all of 20 seconds to set up a profile and start chatting to people. Along with Android, Flirtomatic will also be available as a Blackberry application later this summer and on the Ovi Store.
Flirtomatic has also integrated a “Like” button into profiles across the web service, integrating with Facebook, which means that its 2m users can “Like” their favourite profiles and publish them on their Facebook profile. Flirtomatic is already integrated with Facebook Connect.
Mark Curtis, CEO of Flirtomatic commented: “Over the last two years people have become increasingly familiar with mobile applications and we’re seeing rapidly rising volumes of users coming through app stores. With this in mind it makes sense for Flirtomatic to be as widely available as possible and by launching applications across the major different platforms, along with being available on the web, we’re doing just that.”
Flirtomatic (www.flirtomatic.com) is one of the most popular social mobile services used by 18–30 year olds. Flirtomatic operates a free service across the U.S., UK, Germany and Australia, where over 2m registered users meet, flirt and have fun online. Flirtomatic has distribution partnerships with Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, MetroPCS, ninemsn, ProSiebenSat1 and Samsung. Flirtomatic’s advertising partners include: O2, Nokia, and L’Oreal. Founded in 2005, Flirtomatic is a venture-backed company that has raised over $10m, and was founded by Mark Curtis, who founded Razorfish London and Fjord; and Avi Azulai, founder and Group Managing Director of ITouch.
