Department of Justice forecasts buying $2 billion of products and services in 2007

Federal spending websites give contractors a head start on department opportunities.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Federal spending monitor netXccel is reporting that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is forecasted to spend nearly $2.2 billion on procurements during 2007. This spend is part of the overall $23.1 billion budget for the department. Due to the intense competition for the DOJ-related contracts, contractors are eager to acquire advance alerts or aggregated information on DOJ-related contracts from providers like netXccel, which provides Federal spending data on its fedXccel database.
